Delegate your eCommerce Website.

You heard me right. First, if you haven't read our Ultimate eCommerce Playbook for Industrial Distributorsthen you really should go download the free PDF.

Ok, so if you've done any research on the beast that is eCommerce, you'll notice just how overwhelming it gets. Anyone promising anything else to you is hiding something. You want to get this right ONCE so you don't have to do it again. Oh, and did I mention the upkeep? Yeah, once you have pulled together branding, pages, products, and CRMthen the fun begins.

Delegation can happen one of two ways. If you want to stay hands-on (no, really, you don't), why not recruit a team of known task-masters to split up the work load?

My second recommendation (and one I HIGHLY recommend) is to find a marketing firm in your industry that can do it all with you. If you're outsourcing work you really want to keep two things in mind:

  1. They need to know your industry: and who better than a firm that exclusively services there?
  2. They need to be capable of taking on every task in the process: from design to inventory, if you're paying a service, make sure they can take as much work as you want to off-load.

Outsourcing may sound expensive, but your return is too compelling to put this off any longer.

The industrial B2B distribution is changing. This can be intimidating, but ultimately this is exciting news! If you're interested in learning more about topics like this, check out our podcast, The Takeover. We can't wait to see your unique contribution to the future of the industry.
